Dental Health During Pregnancy

Dental health can be a tricky balancing act for women who are pregnant. Not only are they more susceptible to a variety of oral health problems such as periodontal disease and cavities, but some of those issues (and their treatment) may put their developing baby at risk.

If you’re pregnant, your oral health should be considered an important part of your prenatal care. It's important to maintain your oral hygiene routine, eat tooth-friendly foods and take certain precautions to counteract the effects of your pregnancy. Once your baby is born, you should also take steps to set them up for good oral health for life. To elaborate on this further, Byte has created an educational about dental care for pregnant women and their newborn babies: https://www.byte.com/community/resources/article/dental-care-guide-pregnant-women-babies/
